Support Mental Health In The State of New Jersey

Support Mental Health In The State of New Jersey
The Issue
I am from the state of New Jersey and I am a mental health consumer. Over the years, as a mental health consumer, I have received services to tame the symptoms of my illness. I also have had problems as far as services are concerned and I also have had trouble dealing with payee facilities that are supposed to help mental health consumers pay their bills when the consumer himself/herself can't pay them. I had a problem with such a facility in New Jersey in 2018 and discovered that other consumers in this state and abroad have had the same problem. I have created this petition to correct this and many other issues involving members of the mental health community who may not have support. This petition is to give them my support and to get the message out that the topic of mental health and the stigma surrounding it are serious topics that need lots of education, support and changes. Whether you are a mental health consumer or if you know someone who has a mental illness, your support for this cause will be greatly appreciated. Mental health is a serious issue and we need to get rid of the stigma surrounding all types of psychiatric disorders.
The stigma of mental health is toxic and we need to work together to end this bad behavior that continues to permeate society and continues to hurt those in the community who suffer from mental health issues. I am also taking action to help make progress for mental health policies during the new 118th Congress for the state of New Jersey and abroad. I have been a part of this since 2022 and I have been quite active in this endeavor and have been ever since with this petition as well as your continued support, I hope the goal of ending the stigma will be successful. I thank you for your unlimited support and wish you good mental health.
I also hope that this petition will support those in the community who don't have a voice and will help them get active and help destigmatize mental health and those in the community or family members who have loved ones with mental health issues.
