My name is Marina SANDULEAC, a proud member of the Barking and Dagenham community for over a decade and the owner of The Big Friendly Coffee Cafe situated in this vibrant community's park. This isn't just my place of work; it's a hub where I meet people from diverse backgrounds and ages. It's an avenue for me to contribute positively to the community by assisting the elderly and children with special needs. I have managed this coffee shop with utmost passion and dedication, turning it into an integral part of the local community.
This year, in spite of numerous emails sent to the commercial department to renew my lease, I received no response barring a letter inviting me to court for trespassing the property. This devastated me because what I was losing was not just a business, but the heart of a community that thrives on unity and shared love over a cup of coffee.
As such, I am calling upon you, my fellow community members, and anyone who recognises the value a small business brings to a community, to sign this petition.
