When you write to Mayor Soglin and the common council urging them to prioritize funding for the Madison PD, could you also ask them to disavow anti-MPD behavior like this? If they support the MPD, as some of the alders claim, tell them to show it by speaking out against anti-police behavior – which also includes vandalism of the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Memorial. I’ve already asked, but haven’t gotten a reply, including from my own alder, Maurice Cheeks. Maybe you’ll have better luck.
