Researching McPherson's record... since taking office in 2022 he has issued over 200 dismissals, including charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child, manslaughter, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. These weren’t tossed for lack of evidence, they vanished for lack of respect of the law and for lack of respect for the victims of the crimes. It's all about the clearance rates and the backlog. SMH.
While the DA’s office scrambled to conceal Danny Buck’s cognitive decline, McPherson and Fenlaw acted under his authority. As licensed attorneys, they knew or should have known better. They had a duty to the law, not to a failing legacy.
McPherson didn’t just prosecute these cases, he later presided over them as judge. That’s not just unethical, it’s a constitutional defect. You can’t swap hats and pretend impartiality. The law demands recusal sua sponte. Instead, McPherson issued warrants, dismissals, and orders in cases he once prosecuted. Those orders are not just voidable (according to my understanding) they are VOID
This isn’t justice. It’s institutional rot. And it’s time the public knew.
