I am a mother residing in Sullivan County who lost her youngest son, Jonathan, to an overdose.  Before he died, Jonathan wrote a "Love Letter to God - promising to save 1,000 lives.  That promise became the mission behind Jonathan's Legacy Legislation.

We're calling for a compassionate life-saving solution; to provide immediate long-term treatment for those who are rescued from a fatal overdose.  With fentanyl and addiction stealing lives daily, we see the evidence daily that this current system is failing, as our community...our neighbors are impacted.

We know that we need to be morally courageous and rescue people trapped in the grip of addiction.

We're asking New York State leaders to:

• Implement a rescue mission via automatic medical incapacitation after overdose.
• Fund abstinence-base, long term rehab options.
• Empower families to save their loved ones.
