We, the undersigned citizens concerned for justice in the State of Illinois, respectfully urge the Illinois General Assembly to support and pass Senate Bill SB 3572, a bill intended to abolish abortion and recognize the equal right to life of every human being.

We affirm that unborn children are real human beings, personally formed and known by God in the womb (Psalm 139:13–16; Jeremiah 1:5), and that Scripture identifies the unborn as children, not as property or disposable tissue (Luke 1:41). Every human being bears the image of God and therefore has inherent value, regardless of size, age, dependency, or circumstance (Genesis 1:27). 

God alone is the Author of life (Deuteronomy 32:39; Job 12:10), and He explicitly forbids the shedding of innocent blood and the murder of the innocent (Exodus 20:13; Proverbs 6:16–17; Jeremiah 22:3). Scripture condemns the sacrifice of children and declares such acts to be murder that pollutes the land (Leviticus 18:21; Psalm 106:37–38). God commands His people to defend the helpless and speak for those who cannot speak for themselves (Proverbs 31:8–9; Psalm 82:3–4).

Therefore, we call upon the Illinois Senate and House of Representatives to advance SB 3572 without delay, vote in favor of its passage, and reject any legislation that protects or expands abortion. Justice requires that the State protect innocent human life, including the unborn (Exodus 21:22–25). For these reasons, we urge the passage of SB 3572.
