Dear Clark Tavern supporters,
We all know it's been some time since John and Michelle Linnert were forced to take the Clark Tavern project through the state zoning appeals court, thanks to three neighbors who continue to fight the project to save the historic building.
Based on an article Richard DeSorgher wrote for Hometown Weekly and has also appeared on Medfield Patch, here's a general update:
* The project continues to move with "glacial speed" through the court system, but the Linnerts are determined to save and restore the Clark Tavern. "They are hoping that this latest roadblock will be won and the project can proceed as planned," Richard DeSorgher noted in his article.
* As a way to recognize and thank the Linnerts for their dedication to saving the Clark Tavern, Richard has given them his honorary "2014 Nathan Hale Award." To read more: http://hometownweekly.net/index133.htm
As a side note, the sheer number of people who signed this petition clearly shows how much the Clark Tavern and the town's history matters to Medfield. What else about the Medfield community matters to you? There are many aspects of our wonderful town that make it special, and I'd like to capture that community spirit in my new blog "What Matters Medfield?" You can check it out here: http://whatmattersmedfield.wordpress.com/
Happy New Year to all,
Chris
