My Capstone Topic is about supporting Nuclear Energy in Connecticut. Although many are unaware, the Millstone Nuclear Power Plant generates one-third of our state's energy, according to the United States Energy Information Administration.  This petition will be sent to Governor Ned Lamont in order to protect the power plant. Nuclear Energy in Connecticut matters because, without it, we would rely on fossil fuels to generate energy. Fossil fuels contribute to global warming and pollute the air.  Because of this, Nuclear Energy is the solution for a cleaner future.
