PETITION: Reconsideration of Mr. Malcolm Wade’s Employment at SASJ

We are asking Success Academy administration to reconsider the termination of Mr. Malcolm Wade, chess teacher at SASJ.

Mr. Wade has had a strong and lasting impact on students. Beyond teaching chess, he has helped build confidence, discipline, critical thinking, and a sense of belonging in his classroom. Many students describe his space as supportive, motivating, and inspiring. Many parents admired his willingness to speak up for what he believed was right and to put students first which is one of the main reasons he is being terminated. His impact reached far beyond the classroom, helping students grow in confidence, leadership, and critical thinking.

Families are concerned that his dismissal was issued without prior warning or documented performance concerns, and believe this decision deserves further review. We are requesting transparency and fairness in how this matter is handled.

We respectfully ask the administration to consider alternatives such as a formal review process or corrective steps, and to reopen dialogue regarding his employment.

This petition is about ensuring that valued educators who positively impact students are heard and fairly considered.

If you support reconsideration, please sign and share.
