The Issue

We, the parents and guardians of Class A, are writing together to share our serious concerns about the recent removal of our teacher, Ms. Mandy.

We are only 4 weeks away from graduation. This is an important and emotional time for our children. Losing their teacher now is very disruptive and upsetting — for the children and for our families.

We also want to note that many of us experienced teacher turnover and disruption in Class B when we lost Ms. Ivy and Ms. Catherine. Now facing this same situation again in Class A is deeply concerning. A pattern of disruption like this affects our confidence in the school's leadership and stability.

We are asking for three things:

 1. BRING MS. MANDY BACK

We ask that Ms. Mandy be reinstated as Class A's teacher immediately. Many of us chose this school — or continued to enroll — specifically because of her. She is caring, skilled, and deeply committed to our children. We understand there may be a paperwork or certification issue, but this does not change our trust in her ability to teach. This is an administrative matter, not a reflection of her character or performance. We also believe it is the responsibility of school administrators and directors to ensure that all staff are up to date with their required credentials — this should not fall on the teacher alone. We want continuity for our children, especially this close to graduation.

2. BETTER COMMUNICATION FROM LEADERSHIP

We ask that the school communicate with parents more clearly and more often. When decisions are made that affect our children, we deserve to be informed. We ask that parent messages and concerns be responded to within 24 to 48 hours, or 1 to 2 business days.  We ask that changes affecting our children be immediately communicated to us as well as educational and care plans moving forward.

3. SUPPORT YOUR TEACHERS — DO NOT PENALIZE THEM

Teachers are the heart of this school. If a teacher is missing a certification or course, that can be fixed. It is the administration's responsibility to monitor and support staff credentials — not to use an overlooked requirement as grounds for removal. We ask that leadership work with teachers to resolve these issues rather than penalize them. This situation could have been handled very differently.

We want to be clear: our trust in this school has been shaken. Many of us are now reconsidering enrolling our children in the summer program. Several families who planned to enroll younger siblings in the future are also reconsidering that decision.

We hope leadership will listen and take action quickly. We are signing this petition together because we care about this school and we want it to be a place we can trust.

Signed,
