Our Explicit Request to the Town Board

Dr. Kelt has a long, distinguished history of service to Shelter Islanders. However, the modern medical landscape makes small, independent practices incredibly difficult to sustain independently. To protect the health, comfort, and safety of our aging population, young families, and seasonal visitors alike, it is vital that Dr. Kelt is integrated into a larger, stable framework.

We respectfully urge the Shelter Island Town Board to take immediate, proactive measures to advocate for, facilitate, and assist Dr. Peter Kelt in obtaining formal employment and a structured working relationship with a local umbrella health network or hospital system.

By signing, we demonstrate that there is an abundance of community support for Dr. Kelt. We ask our elected leaders to match this support with swift, decisive advocacy to preserve our Island's health infrastructure.
