Friends of the Farm,
The Lower Makefield Ad Hoc Committee meets tonight at 7:30 pm via Zoom about Patterson Farm. The future of Patterson Farm as we know it is at stake. As the committee considers a Master Plan for Patterson Farm, protecting the future of locally grown food in our community is paramount.
Public comment in favor of keeping the farm clean, green and serene is needed! Thirty eight acres remain vulnerable to non-agricultural conversion. Please support a conservation easement. Oppose “repurposing” of agricultural outbuildings to non-agricultural uses that will impede farming and bring undesirable traffic congestion, paving, storm water runoff, light pollution, trash, noise and disruption of natural habitat to our designated AGRICULTURAL SECURITY AREA.
Watch the meeting on LMT.org or the Lower Makefield Township YouTube channel and call in during Public Comment. There is NO valid reason to remove the agricultural outbuildings from use by our local farmers, yet they are locked out of the barns today.
Please support our plan for Patterson Agriculture and Heritage Center for a sustainable future for Patterson FARM. Help keep Patterson Farm clean, green and serene, for this and future generations!
We worked very hard for years to achieve the conservation easement that now protects over 100 acres of Patterson Farm. It’s time to finish the job and protect the remaining acreage and buildings that are essential for Patterson Farm to remain viable. YOUR advocacy matters. Thank you.
For a sustainable future for Patterson Farm,
Donna Doan, Board Member
