Community Petition to Support the Ochoa Family, Pura Vida

Night Club, and Their Employees

A Petition for Fairness, Equal Treatment, Due Process, and the Preservation of a Local Family-Owned Business.

To the City of Greeley, City Officials, Community Leaders, and the Residents of Greeley and Weld County:

We, the undersigned, stand together in support of the Ochoa family, their locally owned business-Pura Vida Night Club -and the many employees, families, entertainers, vendors, and community members whose livelihoods are connected to this business.

For years, the Ochoa family has invested in our community by creating jobs, supporting local families, hosting cultural celebrations and community events, and contributing to Greeley's local economy. Their businesses have provided opportunities for countless employees and have welcomed people from many different backgrounds.

Many members of our community have expressed concerns regarding actions taken against Pura Vida and are asking for a fair, transparent, and impartial review of this matter. We respectfully request that any decisions affecting the Ochoa family's businesses be based on facts, due process, and the equal application of the law.

We respectfully ask that city officials ensure fair and equal treatment, conduct a transparent review, protect due process, consider the impact on employees and families, work collaboratively with the Ochoa family to address legitimate concerns, and continue supporting locally owned family businesses.

This petition is not intended to interfere with legitimate public safety responsibilities. Rather, it respectfully asks that all decisions be made fairly, consistently, transparently, and without discrimination.

By signing this petition, we affirm our belief that every family-owned business deserves equal treatment, due process, and the opportunity to succeed.
