The Issue

Giving Hope Torfaen has been a beacon of compassion and assistance in our community, tirelessly working to better the lives of those in dire need without taking a single penny as profit. Every day, we strive to make a difference by providing essential items such as sleeping bags, tents, clothing, and toiletries to support the street homeless. We extend our help further by aiding those living in poverty with necessities like clothing, household goods, prams, and beds, ensuring that even the most vulnerable among us, the children, have a chance at a better life.

The dedication of our volunteers is unwavering. Despite the enormous effort and heart that goes into our work, the reality is stark - we have yet to receive any financial support from the local councillors or the Torfaen Voluntary Alliance (TVA). This lack of funding puts immense pressure on our resources and limits our ability to expand our services to those who rely on us. Councillors tend to prioritise initiatives that directly benefit them, leaving grassroots movements like ours struggling to keep up.

The support we provide is crucial, and we believe it is only fair for us to receive the necessary funding to continue and grow. By doing so, we can meet the increasing demands of our community members who are struggling to make ends meet.

We ask that the Torfaen council and TVA review their funding strategies and provide monetary support to Giving Hope Torfaen. By backing us, you would be investing in a proven, impactful organisation that is committed to serving the community without any personal gain.

Join us in calling on the council and TVA to allocate fair funding for Giving Hope Torfaen. Sign this petition and help us secure the financial resources we need to sustain and enhance our services, ultimately improving the lives of many in our community who depend on us.
