Canada is facing a serious shortage of qualified Early Childhood Educators (ECEs). Low wages and challenging working conditions are forcing many skilled educators to leave the profession, affecting the quality of child care for children and families.

ECEs play a critical role in children’s development, yet they are often underpaid and overworked. Without better support, it will be difficult to maintain high-quality early learning programs or expand child care spaces.

We are calling on the government to increase wages, improve working conditions, and invest more funding in early childhood education.
