As a resident of Norwich and a frequent visitor to Earlham Park, I am deeply concerned about the impact that events and festivals held in the park are having on the livelihood of our beloved Earlham Park Cafe. For the past 25 years, my friends have passionately run this cafe, serving delicious food and providing a welcoming atmosphere for all park-goers.

However, Norwich City Council's decision to lease the park for various events has had a significant negative impact on their trade. The cafe is being blocked out of these festivals, with limited access making it incredibly difficult for their loyal customers to access them. This situation not only affects my friends but also jeopardizes the future of this cherished local business.

During summer months when footfall is high in Earlham Park, it is crucial for businesses like Earlham Park Cafe to thrive in order to sustain themselves through quieter winter periods. Unfortunately, due to limited access caused by these events and festivals, regular customers are finding it near impossible to enjoy their favorite cafe while enjoying all that our beautiful park has to offer.

It is disheartening to witness such an unfair disadvantage imposed upon hardworking individuals who have dedicated years towards building a successful business within our community. Therefore, I urge you all to join me in signing this petition as we call upon Norfolk County Council and event organizers:
