Comprehensive Sexual Education (CSE) is an updated, science based, all inclusive sex ed curriculum. With the focus shifted from abstinence to safety and education, teen pregnancy and STI rates can lower. When given the tools and information to make good choices, teens can feel better prepared for life and make better choices regarding their sexuality. CSE can make it so students in the LGBTQ+ community would be represented. The goal is to present this petition to the ASD 20 School Board so they can be made aware of the current issues in the curriculum and be provided with an idea of how to update it.

If you recall your experience in sex ed, you may have experienced shame and fear mongering surrounding sexuality, you might have had a lot of unanswered questions. CSE is about providing a safe environment where students aren't pressured to avoid nor engage in sexual activity. 

Now, as abortion rights are threatened, it is crucial that we have access to methods of contraception, education, and an understanding of our body as well as a partner.
