Dear Governor Newsom,
I am writing in regard to Susan Clevenger W93238 who has been incarcerated almost 25 years with exemplary behavior and many accomplishments.
I am aware of Susan’s commitment to healing, personal growth and rehabilitation. While in prison, she has participated in programs & work in areas of, developing emotional intelligence, and understanding victim impact—including the behavioral factors leading to her crime. She has been living her amends by learning how to take full responsibility for both past and current behaviors. She is set to graduate with her bachelors degree on March 11, 2025. She has a robust support network ready to welcome her home. I am requesting that Governor Newsom commute Susan’s sentence so she has the opportunity to be seen by the Parole Board.
