Cariol HorneBuffalo, NY, United States
Nov 3, 2016
On November 1, 2006, then Buffalo Police Officer Cariol Horne intervened to stop a fellow officer from killing a civilian, Neal Mack, during what proved to be an illegal arrest. Seriously injured during the altercation, Officer Horne filed a disability pension application with New York State in September of 2007. Her application was denied on the basis that she caused her own injuries, a conclusion promoted by a series of corrupt officials: cops, a judge and former NYS Comptroller. Bolstered by local and national supporters, including nearly 170,000 supporters from across the country, a campaign to convince the current NYS Comptroller, Thomas P. DiNapoli, to reevalutate Ms. Horne 2007 pension application will kick off on November 10, 2016. Over a 10 day period, all 170,000-plus supporters of Ms. Horne will be asked to contact Thomas P. DiNapoli on a daily basis to encourage him to undertake a re-evaluation of Ms. Horne's pension application.
