Support Bellingham Reentry Center and Advocate for Partial Confinement

Support Bellingham Reentry Center and Advocate for Partial Confinement
The Issue
My name is Long Nguyen, a resident of Bellingham with a passion and commitment to helping individuals reintegrate into our society, a cause that is very important to me because I've walked in their shoes. The journey has significant challenges, particularly without the support of strong family ties or access to necessary resources. In advocating for the Bellingham Reentry Center located at 1125 & 1127 North Garden St. Bellingham, WA 98225, we acknowledge the crucial role it plays in our community. Since its establishment in 1976, the Bellingham Reentry Center has been a beacon of hope and reformation right in the heart of our city.
By signing this petition, you stand in support of partial confinement for individuals as they transition from prison back into the community. This expresses your recognition of the Bellingham Reentry Center’s work and the need for such critical support systems within our community. As a signatory, you also acknowledge that I, Long Nguyen, am a private citizen, representing my views as a concerned individual, not part of any organization. This is more than just a petition. It’s a personal plea and a community call for compassion and understanding. Let's stand together in support of reentry. Please sign this petition to prevent the potential closure of the Bellingham Reentry Center. Due to the governors 2025 budget proposal, this places our local reentry center at risk for closure.
