Support Andrew "Andy" Pacetti as an independent candidate for Governor of Georgia.
Support Andrew "Andy" Pacetti as an independent candidate for Governor of Georgia.
The Issue
WHEREAS,
- the Official Code of Georgia Annotated (OCGA) may be construed as providing a lesser burden of qualification for candidates identifying as members of either the Democratic or the Republican parties than that laid upon candidates who would, for reasons of conscience, not themselves identify with either the Democratic or the Republican parties;
- the inclination of politically oriented media has long proven to be such that general elections are typically presented as a choice between but two competing platforms, as communicated by the Democratic and the Republican parties;
- there is compelling evidence suggesting
- that most eligible voters in Georgia do not readily align, in full, with the platforms of either the Democratic or the Republican parties and
- that most eligible voters in Georgia do not readily align, in full, with the character and the platforms, communicated explicitly and implicitly, of the nominees of the Democratic and the Republican parties;
- the functions of the Office of the Governor of Georgia may best be fulfilled in the interests of the people of Georgia by an independent executive who is not in any way beholden to partisan interests of either local or national influence;
NOW, THEREFORE we, the undersigned, each aver, individually:
- I am a legal citizen of the United States of America;
- I am, with respect to voter registration, either
- presently a registered voter in the State of Georgia or
- fully intending to register as a voter in the State of Georgia in a manner timely enough to participate in the 2026 Georgia General Election;
- I support the independent candidacy of Andrew "Andy" Pacetti for Governor of Georgia;
- I support his inclusion as an option in any polling conducted to determine voter sentiment regarding the Georgia governor's race;
- I support his inclusion in any and all debates among candidates for Governor of Georgia; and
- I support his inclusion in any and all coverage of the 2026 Georgia General Election for Governor.
