SUPPORT AID FOR UKRAINE
The Issue
Putin's invasion of Ukraine clearly violated International Law, was genocidal, and has become existential threat to the whole world of a nuclear war.
Vietnamese Americans were victims of the Communist invasion of South Vietnam in 1975, at which time, President Ford requested $722 million in military aid to the South Vietnamese (1). The United States Congress denied the aid. We lost South Vietnam. We lost the Southeast Asia Sea (South China Sea). And we are now fighting to sustain peace in the Indo-Pacific area, the Global South, and to defend the global World Order.
What cost has the United States and the World endured, compared to the mere $722 million requested by President Ford? Trilliions of dollar and millions of lives.
President Zelenskyy made it very clear to US Lawmakers: “Ukraine will lose war withouth US Aid” (2)
Tweny nine members of Congress from the Republican Party flatly denied the aid. (3)
What would President Ford feel about his own Republican Party today? How should American voters feel about their own representatives in Congress?
Vietnamese Americans are in distraught that the defending of our Freedom Torch is not supported wholeheartedly by our Congress. Are we ready to lose Ukraine, the Black Sea, Europe, Central Asia, and let the global world order be manipulated by Putin and Xi ?
Vietnamese Americans, who lost our country to Communism, strongly urge the 29 GOP Representatives in Congress to reconsider, and to uphold the Torch of Freedom of the United States of America.
We urge the US Congress to support Ukraine to victory against Putin's invasion.
