I am writing this petition on behalf of my family, particularly my mother. We are a family of seven who recently faced eviction and are now struggling to secure a new home. My mother had me when she was just 15 years old and has been battling life's hardships ever since. She works tirelessly for our family, often at the expense of her own well-being. Despite her struggles, she often doubts how good of a mom she is.

As the oldest sibling at only 13 years old, I have taken it upon myself to try and alleviate some of the stress from my mother's shoulders. I cannot bear to see my younger siblings experience homelessness or witness any more pain in my mother's eyes.

We live in Jamestown, NY where according to US Census data (2019), nearly 25% percent of residents live below the poverty line - significantly higher than the national average (source: U.S Census Bureau). This statistic is not just numbers for us; it is our reality.
