We were greatly saddened, followed by anger to learn of the eviction of the League for Animal Protection from its longstanding home on town property. We understand that the League lost its tax-exempt status through a filing oversight. Serious as this is in itself, it should not be compounded by our town government. Please give them the chance to straighten things out with the IRS and continue their volunteer work on behalf of homeless animals.
