We should remove Styrofoam plates from the cafeterias of Duval County Public Schools  to reduce our environmental impact. Styrofoam should be replaced with either recycled paper dishware or reusable dishes, such as stainless steel lunch trays. Furthermore, reusable dishware can be more cost effective long-term as well as more environmentally friendly. This change would make our schools and students better stewards of the earth and the environment. We respectfully ask the School Board and Superintendent Vitti to consider this request.
