Duval County School Board

The Duval County School Board is the governing body that manages and oversees the public schools in Duval County, Florida. Consisting of seven elected members who each serve four-year terms, the board is responsible for creating and implementing policies that set the direction for the school district and its administration. It plays a critical role in ensuring quality education standards, advocating for adequate educational funding, and playing a key role in the development of curriculum standards. The Duval County School Board also employs a Superintendent who is tasked with overseeing daily operations and executing the Board's policies.
