Sunshine Coast Council hand delivered a letter last week to all Suites in 'Trinity House Medical Centre' central Caloundra stating that the 4 Disability Parking Bays have been found to be 'NON-COMPLIANT', following an investigation and will be replaced with Paid Metered parking after 1 complaint.

We provide essential health care to predominantly Aged and Disabled in our community and have done for 30 years. There has been no discussion on alternatives other than

"It is what it is"

'Wont be delivered within 5 years due to Capital funding' 

'Unfeasible to make the levels on Ormuz Avenue near Trinity House compliant'

What it is, is removal of access to health care services for those with a Disability.

Our community is able to access Medical Care, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Denture Care, Dental Care, Psychology, Pathology and NDIS all at the one location. They have relied on these Parking Bays for 30+ years. 

How is it Non-Compliant for Disabled but compliant for Metered parking?

STOP the removal of Disability Parking Bays and demand a timely resolution to compliant Disability parking that ensures safety and access to health care for all.

Don’t remove them, improve them.
