Peralta has been an amazing principal since 2013 for Chula Vista High School. She’s cared and motivated many students! She has been unfairly removed from her position and has been demoted because she took a creative step for graduation to give class of 2020 a warm goodbye. She did it for her students, for her community, and got lash back because others did not receive the same treatment in the district. This led to her demotion. With all the injustice in the world, this has been another reason why the community feels outraged once again. We need more leaders who push our youth to become successful. Peralta’s demotion just shows how, once again, this district has failed their students. SUHSD has continuously put themselves in front of the students, time and time again. We need them to take responsibility for the lack of accountability and empathy we continue to see from this district.
