Hundreds of Long Island restaurants are open for takeout BUT customers are prohibited from enjoying the meal anywhere on the premises. Why can’t we eat at outdoor picnic tables or even in our car ? Social distancing is easy outdoors. Many restaurants have lawn areas, parking lots and waterfront decks where seating could be provided with sanitizing stations and garbage cans for disposable plates and utensils. The weather is nice. We need to get outside into the fresh air. Restaurants need the business. #letuseatoutside
