Students of Sindh wants JUSTICE - MDCAT 2023 Re-conduction wasn't fair

The Issue

Dear empathetic advocates of justice,

We, the 40,000+ impassioned medical students who invested our hearts and souls into the Re-conduction of MDCAT 2023 in Sindh, are reaching out in sheer exasperation and heartbreak. Our dreams, our relentless efforts, have been brutally undermined by the very system we entrusted to guide us into the revered profession of medicine.

The recent Re-conduction of MDCAT exam held by Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) in SINDH on 19 November is not just a heart-wrenching tale of betrayal; it's a narrative woven with deceit and disregard for our aspirations. Beyond the treachery of leaked questions and the commercialized sale of keys, we were blindsided when the exam deviated from the prescribed PMDC syllabus (Out-of-Syllabus MCQS). Botany, an explicit exclusion from the MDCAT syllabus, became an unexpected antagonist in our pursuit to this journey.

The scale of leakage this time around was even bigger as compared to level of leakage which was previously held by JSMU on 10 September in Sindh. The paper was readily available on Social Media and it was circulating on WhatsApp groups hours before the test. It shows the credibility of our so-called institutes.

After that, the keys which were provided to students digitally through DUHS website after the exam was over also showed concerns.

We plead for your urgent support for our petition on change.org, demanding justice for the 40,000+ students who endured the betrayal of a compromised MDCAT 2023. Our demand is unequivocal — a comprehensive investigation into the nefarious activities surrounding the paper leakage and key sales. Those responsible must face the full weight of legal consequences to reclaim the integrity of our medical education system.

Our call is not for a re-conduct but for the withholding of DUHS official results until justice prevails. Another chance at an unrestrained exam is not a remedy; it's a perpetuation of our anguish. We've lost faith in the system, and we won't settle until justice is served.

Stand with us in this urgent plea for fairness, integrity, and the dreams of every student who aspires to heal and serve humanity through the noble profession of medicine.

Key Demands:

1. Conduct a rigorous investigation into the criminal activities surrounding the MDCAT 2023 paper leakage and key sales.

2. Withhold the official results from DUHS until justice prevails.

3. Ensure all individuals involved in criminal activities face legal consequences.

4. Reinstate the trust and sanctity of the medical education system.

5. Ensure that the result is fair before being officially published and it must be checked from correct key. Grace marks should also be given for Out-of-Syllabus MCQS.
