Make Blackpool Sixth Form's Temporary Carpark Permanent

Make Blackpool Sixth Form's Temporary Carpark Permanent
The Issue
Blackpool Sixth Form is having major car parking issues that are not only having an effect on the staff and students of the college, but also the local residents and businesses as desperate students are parking outside their homes.
Located on the left hand side of the sixth form is currently a gravel Carpark, this was created in September 2006 as a temporary measure whilst building work was carried out but has now become essential to cope with the ever increasing number of car owners. However in December 2017 the planning permission for this temporary space will expire and the land must be returned to grass. This is a major issue as limits are already being breached.
We do not want to lose this valuable space as the issues that are occurring now will only increase in severity and frequency. This petition's aim is to make Lancashire County Council aware of this issue and to try and allow the 'temporary' car park to become a permanent feature.
Making the car park permanent will not only ensure its availability for student use in the future, but also allow it to be properly tarmaced and lined. This will allow the sixth form to provide a safer and more efficient parking space for both staff and students.
