Hello

Just the words STUDENT LOAN make me feel nauseous. Are you struggling with bills that are made drastically worse by a hefty chunk of money coming out each month to pay off an eternal student loan? I'm 35 and I went to university in 2003. Back then, we had no idea what we were getting into with these loans. I meet so many people in my situation and it's time we make ourselves heard. I have always worked hard but I have never been able to pay off my loan. I feel like from the interest I must have paid it off several times over by now. My mental health is suffering from the education "tax" that comes out of my salary each month. If I had known that I'd be paying it off for years/forever I would have done a more useful degree or not bothered going at all. This is money that should be going into our savings and not the loanshark's account. 

I didn't expect a free education (although the previous generations got this). It seems fair to pay back the loan but not over and over again. I'm of the generation where it won't get written off after a certain amount of time, so it is a constant weight around my neck. I have delayed life decisions because of it, such as having children. Now, we of course have the Covid-19 virus to deal with, which may lead to another recession and I believe we don't need the debt of these loans on top of everything.

Help me fight against the Student Loans Company if you want to help yourself, our forgotten generation of adults, your children, your friends, your family, your colleagues.
