Students at LVHS recognize that the proposed scheduling changes for the 2025-2026 school year are largely out of our control, and are the results of budgeting and government funding issues —

That said, we the students at Lago Vista High School believe that changing the Bell Schedule from A/B blocks to 8 periods a day would severely detriment both school and student environments.

Things at LVHS that would be negatively affected by these changes include:

AP/Dual Enrollment courses, The PALS program, Shop Classes, EMT, Career Readiness Courses, Advisory Clubs, Student Work-Life Balance, Culinary Arts, etc.. 

This petition is not a protest against the school, but rather a way to make student voices hear loud and clear. Students deserve a quality education —  the A/B schedule ensures that.
