As we have all seen, President Donald J. Trump has openly voiced his opinions on gun legislation. One might ask, "how many deaths does it take for change?" and that number is unknown. Allowing only the minimum of control over our guns is a death wish for all of America. No mother or father should send their child off to school with a fear inside their stomachs, wondering if their child may not come home that afternoon. No college student should be afraid to learn on the campus they call home, and no citizen deserves to walk down the street in constant fear of being shot. President Trump himself survived an attempted assassination by gun violence, isn't that enough? This petition was created in honor of those lost and affected in the Florida State University, Parkland, Columbine, Sandy Hook, Uvalde, Virginia Tech, Michigan State University, University of Nevada, Dallas High School, and the 2,023 other schools affected by gun violence since the year 2000.
