Currently, Indigenous students experience lower education attainment rates, with only completing secondary education, compared to for non-Indigenous peers. Furthermore, Indigenous individuals often encounter higher unemployment rates compared to  These figures highlight the urgent need for well-funded and accountable programs that can make a tangible impact in closing these gaps.

Indigenous-led education programs and employment initiatives, grounded in cultural values and community involvement, have shown positive results in improving educational outcomes and job placement. However, these programs frequently suffer from inconsistent funding and a lack of transparency in how funds are allocated.
