We are calling on STV Player, Lime Pictures, and All3Media to officially license and stream the unreleased documentary "Brookside: 100 Greatest Moments"—expanded to include a brand-new, dedicated tribute to the legendary Dean Sullivan.

For years, Brookside fans have known about the existence of a fully produced, feature-length special titled Brookside: 100 Greatest Moments.

A trailer for this highly anticipated documentary was originally hidden as a bonus feature on the Unfinished Business DVD, teasing a definitive countdown of the most iconic, ground-breaking moments from Brookside Close. Tragically, the studio shelved the project, leaving it locked away in the television archives.

While fans originally campaigned for a physical DVD release, the media landscape has changed. Setting up factory manufacturing for physical discs carries high financial risks for studios.

However, a digital home for the Close already exists, and it is a massive success.
When STV Player launched classic Brookside episodes, it completely smashed platform streaming records.

STV has proven that the fanbase is active, loyal, and ready to watch online. Because STV Player already holds the streaming rights to the main series until 2029, uploading this pre-recorded, completed special to their app is incredibly cost-effective—and they already have the audience waiting.

A Long-Overdue Tribute to Dean Sullivan:

We are not just asking for old footage. Following the heartbreaking passing of Dean Sullivan—the legendary actor who defined Jimmy Corkhill and served as the absolute face of the soap opera—an official archival release without him would be incomplete.

With Lime Pictures recently reuniting iconic original cast members for high-profile crossover events, the timing is perfect. We are demanding that STV Player and Lime Pictures collaborate to film short, new retrospective interviews with his on-screen family and friends (such as Sue Johnston, Ricky Tomlinson, Claire Sweeney & Suzanne Collins with maybe some Brookie Fans too). 

This would serve as a beautiful introduction and a dedicated tribute to Dean’s massive television legacy, transforming the 100 Greatest Moments release into a must-watch streaming event.

Our Demand:
We urge the Content Acquisitions team at STV Player to contact All3Media International and Lime Pictures to rescue this lost documentary from the vaults.
