Despite backlash in 2018, WOMADelaide have decided to invite Gratte Ciel - Place Des Anges back to their 2023 Festival. This performance involves dumping thousands of feathers from dead ducks onto Botanic Gardens.  Not only is this a wasteful support of the animal agriculture industry, the thousands of feathers will destroy the local environment, endangering waterways and the flying foxes that call Botanic Garden home. If Gratte Ciel are a company worth their salt, they won't need to resort to cheap, extravagant tricks to be memorable. We encourage them to carry out their performance without feathers.
