The Issue

Living in EdgeWater Community should mean living in harmony with nature. Our community is blessed with diverse wildlife, including migratory birds that rest and nest among our trees and waters. However, an alarming decision by our HOA threatens these beautiful creatures.

Our family, like many others, moved here to enjoy not just the tranquil environment but to live alongside nature. Tragically, the EdgeWater HOA ruled  to start capturing and slaughtering these innocent birds, a practice we find abhorrent and unnecessary. This isn't just about these birds; it's about the ecosystem and the balance we disturb when we decide that we can control nature.

We propose humane alternatives, such as community education on coexistence, better waste management to reduce potential nuisances, and bird-friendly landscaping that encourages natural habitation away from high traffic residential areas.

Please join us in urging the Wild Life Service to reconsider their decision and implement more ethical and sustainable practices. By signing this petition, you contribute to safeguarding our community's natural beauty and respecting the life it encompasses for future generations. Stand with us to protect what truly makes our community home.
