They protect Russian Banks, Utilities, and other critical infrastructure. The same US and Israeli companies have contracts with our military, intelligence, and critical infrastructure organizations.  These companies should not support Putin. Our technology is being used as a weapon against us and as a defensive tool to protect Putin's Russia.
