Stop Valley Link - Frederick County (VA)
The Issue
My name is Becky Rager, and I'm a resident of the Gainesboro District in Frederick County, Virginia. Like a lot of neighbors, my family recently learned that Valley Link plans to run proposed lines directly through our property. This land is not just where we make our home, it is also protected by a vital water conservation easement. What’s happening isn’t just about us - this project threatens countless homes, farms, and generational legacies that make Frederick County the community we cherish.
Valley Link, a proposed transportation corridor, poses serious risks to our way of life. It could disrupt families, damage ecosystems, and diminish property values across the county. Even more alarming, these plans were introduced with minimal notice to residents, leaving many blindsided and deeply concerned. In the path of this project lie homes that have stood for generations, places filled with history, memory, and meaning.
Our community now stands at a crossroads. We deserve transparency. We deserve a real voice in decisions that reshape our daily lives. And we deserve a full environmental impact analysis to understand the true cost of this project — to our water, our land, our health, and our future.
I’m asking you to stand with me. Stand with every family whose home is at risk. Stand with every farmer whose land is threatened. Stand with every resident who believes Frederick County is worth protecting.
Let’s raise our voices and demand a halt to Valley Link until the people of Frederick County are heard and the sanctity of our community is respected.
Sign this petition to stop the destruction of Frederick County homes, farms, and natural resources. Together, we can show decision‑makers the gravity of their choices and insist on a future that protects our community — not one that sacrifices it.
