We, the people of the California Republic, submit this petition to advocate for greater transparency and democratic control over the allocation of taxpayer funds for military expenditures. As constituents concerned about the ethical and fiscal implications of war, we urge the implementation of mechanisms that allow citizens to influence decisions regarding military spending directly.

California is the largest economy of the 50 United States and is the most significant tax contributor to the United States war budget. The allocation of taxpayer money toward military operations and defense budgets has been a topic of significant public debate and concern. We believe that citizens should have a say in how their hard-earned tax dollars are utilized, particularly when it comes to funding wars and military interventions that have profound domestic and international consequences.

We believe that by implementing a democratic control of tax dollar allocation, we will:

1.) Reduce the number of civilian deaths and displacement.
2.) Foster diplomacy and pursue peace.
3.) Enhanced relations with all nations.
4.) Empower the people to direct budget surpluses.

The undersigned stand in solidarity with the California independence movement led by the California National Party (CNP). We urge our representatives from North to South, in every municipality and county, to take steps toward meeting this request.
