We call for one day war strike, on september 11th 2024: a war strike for peace!

A relentless slaughter has been going on in gaza for 320 days of suffering. officially, the persons killed are more than 40,000, most of which being innocent civilians and not less than a half being children. according to UN Security Council, "over 14,000 children have been killed, a figure likely underestimated..."

 

 

What fault do this people have, other than living in an area chosen as target for  bombs, rockets and gunfire? The consequences are torn bodies, despair, pain, suffering for those affected but also for those trying to help, in desperate conditions, among hunger and disease. 

Everyday people in gaza go to sleep with the dread that it will be their last night.  Here is their persistent thought: “It is only a matter of time.”

What kind of life, perspectives, tragic and angry memories are Israel, the USA and the EU intentionally generating?

This is a cowardly genocide, which has been perpetrated for more than 10 months by  Israel, following the tragic terrorist attack of October 7, 2023.  But we have to consider all of the past years of colonization of palestine and the palestinians repression too!

 

 

We all feel involved in this war, we are inside a genocide in fact! And this is because some social media and Gaza independent journalists (the few who are still alive) have been able to let us know and experience the horror that living in Gaza and in the West Bank has become.

I asked myself several times what could i personally do in order to contribute to the ceasefire, when i had an insight: the role of the United States in ensuring media coverage and the all-out supply of armaments to Israel, as well as its geopolitical influence over the Middle East, are central nodes of the issue.

 

 

Here it is our idea: We should reach out workers in the United States of America who are in one way or another involved in the the U.S. arms industry and ask them to strike on the very most iconic day in contemporary history! That is September 11, when attacks on the twin towers in new york targeted the heart of america and of the entire world.

Overall, sales of the world's 100 largest arms manufacturers total $597 billion (2022). The top five positions are occupied by American companies: Lockheed Martin, Raytheon Technologies, Northrop Grumman, Boeing and General Dynamics.

The U.S. in 2020 exported nearly half of its production to the Middle East. U.S. arms manufacturers are major arms suppliers to Israel. We have to consider that most arms sales are being made for the benefit of an occupying army, which is explicitly prohibited by no less than two international agreements:

On September 11, 2024 let's stop production, marketing, trading, and logistics of arms destined to Israel!

This appeal is addressed to all employees and employers, to managers, contractors, unions of the following companies that [1] make direct profits from the war in Gaza (and not only):

Let us show that we are all human and that we do not want to participate in this massacre. Let's ask to stop the western genocide in Gaza. Let's give positive momentum to the ongoing negotiations, with a fair conclusion to agreements that allows to free all Israeli & Palestinian hostages and stop the conflict in Palestine.
