QUT Law Report fails to recommend fair disclosure but A-G not bound!

The recent final report by the QUT Property Law Review on Seller Disclosure failed to recommend fair disclosure. Instead it suggests a mere warning that the Seller will NOT disclose material facts! However our Attorney-General is not bound by the QUT report. The report went against fair seller disclosure as requested in my tabled petition. See below: "Recommendation 13: The seller statement should contain a clear warning to potential buyers that particular information which may be relevant to the value of the property is not included with the seller statement. The warning should read: This statement does not include information about: *Flooding history *Structural soundness of the building or pest infestation *Current or historical use of the property *Current or past building approvals for the property *Limits imposed by planning laws on the use of the land *Services that are or may be connected to the property You are encouraged to make your own inquiries about these matters prior to signing a contract. You may not be able to terminate the contract if these matters are discovered after you sign." I will make another submission as to why we should be following the rest of the world such as the UK and most of the USA. I have requested a response from our Attorney-General, the honorable Yvette D'Ath so that real change can now take place to protect home buyers. I am committed to improving transparency in property records. Our laws need to change and I will not give up hope.
