Stop Unethical Practices by Just Right Towing in Low-Income Neighborhoods
The Issue
We cannot turn a blind eye to the practices of Just Right Towing, a company that allegedly has been stealing cars from low-income neighborhoods in Annapolis, MD, including those with permits clearly displayed. The decision on which vehicles are towed appears arbitrary, often resulting in charges of $375 to reclaim each car - a steep price for any residents, even more so for those living in low-income areas. The company's behavior is not only disrespectful but potentially illegal, with suspicions arising about their current licensing status.
This issue is deeply personal to me because my daughter, who lives in Bay Ridge apartments and has just given birth, was a victim of their unjust operations. Despite her car being parked legally, it was towed while she was in the hospital. For this reason I don’t even park in the neighborhood anymore…I park down Victor pkwy because I don’t trust them. The New property Managers currently looking for a new “Tow Company” for the property. This was personally stated to me from Him. I have also heard stories of others who have found their vehicles missing despite valid permits. These actions have affected our lives drastically, costing us not only monetarily but in terms of our peace and security.
It's essential that we investigate the circumstances surrounding Just Right Towing's operations to ascertain if local laws and regulations are being adhered to. We demand transparency from businesses in our community, and it is clear that the concerned parties here have not been held accountable for their actions.
We urge local authorities to look into the matter promptly and take necessary action. We are not merely seeking justice for ourselves; it is a call for equality and respect that all residents of Annapolis deserve. It's time to put an end to the predatory practices of Just Right Towing. Please sign this petition and lend your voice to our cause - together, we can enact change.
