Stop unauthorised car sales on Hangerfield Court

Stop unauthorised car sales on Hangerfield Court
The Issue
I grew up on Hangerfield Court, a street characterized by its tranquility and neighbourly atmosphere. It's where I raised my own children, and I've always cherished it as a quiet, friendly place. Unfortunately, for the last decade, one individual has transformed part of our cherished community into a hub of unauthorised commercial activity by operating a car repair and sales business from their home. They treat our street like a garage and oil has been pictured running down the street and into the drains. This unauthorised enterprise has dramatically altered the fabric of our friendly residential street.
Currently, around 11 vehicles from this business monopolise the council parking bays. These spots were intended for residents, but we now find ourselves parking on pavements and grass verges. This not only affects the visual appeal of our beloved street but also poses potential hazards for residents and pedestrians. Several long-term neighbours, disheartened by these changes, have decided to relocate, leaving thier friends and neighbours behind.
The environmental impact is undeniable too. The continuous influx of vehicles contributes to excess noise and pollution, tarnishing the peaceful and green environment that we have always had.
We now need an official intervention to restore the harmony and safety of our neighbourhood. We urge the relevant authorities
· Planning Enforcement Team, West Northamptonshire Council
· Highways and Traffic Orders Team, West Northamptonshire Council
· Environmental Protection, West Northamptonshire Council
· Local Town Council
· Northamptonshire Police to take decisive action against this unauthorised car operation taming over our court.
Hangerfield Court is worth preserving for its residents, its community spirit, and its potential to continue being a peaceful and welcoming place that it has been for so long.
I am reaching out to my fellow residents and supporters with this petition. Let's come together to protect the character and safety of our community. Please sign this petition and join me in advocating for the necessary actions to be taken to put an end to this unauthorised commercial business. Together, we can restore Hangerfield Court to its original charm and tranquillity.
