The Issue

Attention all American citizens and Democratic leaders and lawmakers. We are gojng to protest Save PBS and NPR against President Donald J. Trump on Thursday, May 1, 2025, signed an executive order and the sign the Rescissions Act of 2025 into law threatening to slash public subsidies to Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) and National Public Radio (NPR) as he alleged "bias" in the broadcasters’ reporting. This decision could greatly harm two of our most respected sources of unbiased news, educational content, and cultural programming.

PBS and NPR have long been cornerstones of public broadcasting in the United States, cherished for their in-depth reporting and dedication to educational and cultural programming. These organizations provide essential services that inform and educate the public, often filling gaps left by commercial broadcasters.

Over the years, PBS and NPR have brought us everything from "Sesame Street" and "PBS News Hour" to "Morning Edition" and "All Things Considered." They shine for their unbiased approach and dedication to public service, ensuring that their audiences are informed about critical issues without the influence of commercial interests.

Slashing subsidies to these organizations under the pretense of alleged bias not only threatens their ability to provide comprehensive news coverage but also jeopardizes their ability to deliver quality educational content. It would interfere with their mission to serve the diverse needs of the American public, including millions of children who rely on educational programming.

Let it be clear! It's time to stand up, take action and fight back. We must protect the future of PBS and NPR from these detrimental cuts. Please sign this petition to demonstrate your support for public broadcasting and to urge legislative representatives to oppose this executive order. Help ensure that PBS and NPR can continue to thrive and serve their communities without political interference. Thank you very much and protect PBS local stations now!
