We had 80 - 100 supporters who joined us in a protest at the city-sponsored Open House at Shaughnessy Heights United Church on Thurs, April 19th. Global News was there to cover the event (watch for a link to the story on this petition once it becomes available). Together, we sent a clear message to the City that Vancouver citizens will fight to protect the rights of dying patients and their families! This hospice was built by the Vancouver community, for the Vancouver community. We firmly believe that a compassionate City must practice responsible development. A great big THANK YOU to those of you who were able to come out. We are incredibly grateful to all of you for signing this petition. We've received over 1500 signatures in one week!
