In Florida neighborhoods, whether HOA or not, we are facing the problem that sober homes are allowed to open their doors in any neighborhood due to the Fair Housing Act and Americans with Disabilities Act. This allows for recovering drug addicts to invade family and residential neighborhoods.

Over 50% of drug addicts relapse, bringing drugs and drug dealers into family neighborhoods. Many residents and police in these neighborhoods have witnessed a major increase in violence, theft, robbery, drug paraphernalia littering the streets (needles, etc.), and even drug-related deaths in neighborhoods that were once safe and quiet from drugs.
