Pierce middle school in Redford MI  has recently started using “Yondr Pouches” on 2/13/23 . They had more than 600+  kids outside In the cold with only 4 adults managing the phone and Yondr pouch system . The process was very unorganized and they were making the kids put their phone in the pouches and if they didn’t have their phone or pouch on them they had to go into a whole other separate line . They were searching bags and the process took so long that some kids didn’t even enter the building till the middle of 2nd hour . Many kids and parents were complaining about this unorganized process !! There is always a huge line at the end of the school day full of kids waiting to unlock their phone . With the rise of school shootings the students don’t have a way to contact their parents or guardians in the Instance of a school lockdown .Put an end to Yondr pouches and put a start to students safety!!
