Volunteers are needed for our small business canvassing campaign running Thursday 7/24 - Sunday 7/27 with a major focus on downtown Easton. You will be provided with a petition for small businesses to sign, as well as a link if they want to do it digitally, and posters to offer owners to put in their windows. This is a great activity to do with a friend, and an excellent opportunity to get to know all of the amazing small businesses that are part of our local community and economy.

A reminder that the next big Easton Planning meeting is on Wednesday August 6. Mark your calendars because we need everyone to show up and wear black! We expect the commission to vote on the development and a recommendation on floodplain exceptions to be sent to zoning. We need everyone to be there!
We need to keep our cause in the spotlight by circulating the PETITION and interacting with social media posts on INSTAGRAM and FACEBOOK... and of course DONATE and tell your friends. Share information on key issues - our May 7 presentation to the Easton Planning Commission is now available as an audio track on soundcloud: https://on.soundcloud.com/7MQzE3CGbNcbp49H6N
Finally, as our community is coalescing in opposition to the proposed mega-warehouse, we can see communities all over the region and the country coming together to maintain their health, environment, and economies in similar modes of resistance. To stay engaged with the larger narrative, this week we are spotlighting West Orange NJ’s fight over the development of the Watchung Mountains, one of the few remaining forests in the area. Their coalition is well organized and efficient. Learn more about them, their tactics, and upcoming actions at We Care NJ
In Solidarity,
Colleen
